Water Conservation Social Responsibility Campaign

Dear Members of the OzU Community,

We have previously shared with you the initiatives taken by the University as part of the Water Efficiency Mobilization and the actions you can personally take to save water.

As part of the Water Conservation Social Responsibility Campaign, the “Water Protocol” has been launched to remind us that water is a limited resource and to encourage all Istanbulites to take an active role in water conservation.

As we have also declared through our ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Standard, and  Environmental Policy, all of our stakeholders are fully committed to the following principles. Through the “Water Protocol,” we once again reaffirm our pledge to uphold these practices. You, too, can contribute to this campaign by making your pledge via the Water Administration (ISKI) website.

I pledge not to leave the tap running during personal hygiene activities. I pledge to keep my showers short. I pledge to wash dishes in the dishwasher instead of by hand. I pledge to install water-saving devices and throttle the flow with the shutoff valve. I pledge to run my washing machine only when it is fully loaded.
